still so lovely!

I'm posting a few more of my most favorite from this session.
They all make me so happy!

Such sweet moments.
I"m cutting myself off now, or else I might share the entire session here before I hand them the disc!
Thanks again you guys for the lovely morning.

so lovely

I know it's been quite a while since my last post. Life has been busy. The sun has been hot.
But now that the weather is cooling off (kind of...95 is cool, right?), the outdoors are begging people to come outside for photo sessions!!! And I am very happy to oblige!
I can't think of a sweeter way to get back in the swing of things then to have a session with this beautiful (I mean REALLY beautiful) family.

Seriously.

And they are so FUN. You know, the kind of people you first meet and its just so comfortable that you kind of feel like you have known them for a while? They're like that.

We met up on Saturday morning and I walked away with so much goodness to look through. They made my job super easy. I think that anyone could have taken their pictures and walked away with wonderful images. I'm having a really difficult time choosing which to share...so this may be a long one!

What was really fun for me was that the children were so close in age to my own, so I felt like I had a better view into their world that way. Not only that, but they reminded me of my children in certain ways...so I, of course, really enjoyed their company!

Here is sweet little Avery. Love her. I do.

I got lots of beautiful pictures with her, but this one seems to be my favorite. I think because it is so natural and pure.

Can you believe those eyes?! She has such a warm little spirit. Her shyness and smiles and big beautiful stares totally captured my heart.

Yours too? I thought she might do that.
But make room for a little more love in there because Carter is just as charming.
With a huge heart and curiosity, he totally kept the exploration and fun alive.

Here he is about to dig into the stash of leaves he collected to throw into the lake (duck food of course!).

And here he is showing us all his bulging biceps.
Oh the sweetness!

He even brought along his batman costume to climb trees in.
Love him. I do.

And who might be responsible for all this cuteness?

Chas and Shelly. You can see where their children get it from, right?
They are just as wonderful too.
I was really happy to get several shots of the family together and then in following them around, I also got the chance to capture these really beautiful moments of them scattered about.

This one of Shelly and Avery might be my favorite picture. As in ever. I am in love with the expression on Aves face with her arm stretched out wide and Shelly holding her close.

And I love the light behind Shelly in this one with Carter. She is so in love with her kids, don't you think?

And this one! Can you see the moon right above them? Love that.

It was so fun to see Chas interact with his kids. He was amazingly great with them and it made for some fun shots.

One of my favorite of the whole family. I don't know why exactly but I think it has something to do with being able to see every one's shadow.

And I loved this moment where they are each kind of doing their own thing, but together. So true to the workings of a family.

And this one makes me so happy.

The colors and the light just draw me in and make me want to stay a while.

Isn't this family so lovely?!

I loved following them around and getting a peek into their lives.

So very beautiful indeed.

Thank you Chas, Shelly, Carter and Avery!

I really did love spending time with you and I hope you enjoy what we got!
